Meadowfield ElementaryMeadowfield Elementary School was built in 1966-67 to accommodate the needs of an increasing population in the East Columbia area. This school opened in 1967 and housed grades 1-7 until 1970 when Meadowfield was paired with Atlas Road School. Meadowfield then became a K-3 school and Atlas Road housed grades 4-5 and special education classes. In 1988, Atlas Road and Meadowfield merged and school began with an enrollment of 612. Two additional wings with modular units were constructed. In 2000, a gymnasium was constructed. In 2001, a new wing which houses several classrooms, offices, teacher work room, computer lab, and science lab was completed.
